On Thursday December 20, 2007 the Rochelle Police Departments Fraternal Order of Police held the drawing to determine who the winner of their annual raffle would be. The raffle consisted of 500 tickets being sold, at five-dollars each, with the prize being a 32-inch flat screen LCD HDTV, with digital tuner. The tv was purchased at the local Wal-Mart, who provided the FOP with a 10% discount. The raffle tickets were once again printed and donated by Rochelle Printing. Sam Tesreau, of Rochelle, was the lucky winner. One hundred percent of the raffle proceeds will go back to the community, in the form of charitable donations.
