| Dixon, IL – The Illinois Department of Transportation announces today that, weather permitting, construction work on IL 251 (7th Street) in Rochelle will begin on Monday, August 3, 2009. Martin & Co. Excavating will be starting the $177,649 improvement of IL 251 from Lincoln Avenue (IL 38 east) to 5th Avenue.
The project involves milling off the existing bituminous surface, making pavement repairs, and resurfacing the roadway. Drivers should be prepared to stop for flaggers who will be directing traffic past the work operations. The project is expected to be completed by mid-August.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and drive carefully through all construction zones.
