| Rochelle, IL – The Rochelle City Council is going green with the use of a new “paperless” agenda. The first new agenda will be available online for the May 10 City Council Meeting.
In an effort to conserve paper and utilize available technology, the City of Rochelle will now use an online format to publish the City Council agenda. City Manager Ken Alberts is extremely pleased to see this new format go live. “Several months have gone into the development and testing of the paperless agenda. It fits well with three objectives of the City: promoting technology, keeping our citizens informed, and being environmentally responsible”, Alberts said.
The agenda is available online at www.cityofrochelle.net by clicking on “Agendas and Minutes” under the “Government” tab at the top. All future agendas will be available via this link and will have a search feature at the top of the page making information more readily accessible to Council members and citizens. Citizens will not only have access to the agenda’s cover sheets, but to the supporting maps and documents as well.
Members of the community are encouraged to attend City Council Meetings. The City Council meets on the second and fourth Monday of the month at 7:00PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
