| Rochelle, IL – In order to provide improved and more reliable electric service, Rochelle Municipal Utilities plans to convert the 4160 volt system to a 13,800 volt system. The entire project will be scheduled in phases over the next five years. Phase I is north of Highway 38, south of Flagg Road and west of Tilton Manor Parkway proceeding north to Fourteenth street.
RMU is preparing for Phase I of the conversion project. Our consultants, Sargent & Lundy will be walking through the area with RMU electric personnel which will include walking through back yards in order to gather electrical data. All personnel will be wearing identification tags, reflective vests and hard hats.
Monday, May 10, 2010 through Friday, May 14th, RMU electric personnel and Sargent & Lundy representatives will begin on North Fourteenth Street and walk east towards Highway 251. Working hours will be from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
