The City of Rochelle’s contractor will begin construction on sidewalk and curb around the community mid-August and will be on the project for approximately one month.
Areas included in this year’s project include:
- South 8th Street, near Spring Lake Pool
- 9th Street between the UP Rail Tracks and 1st Avenue
- Mid-section of the 300 Block of North 6th Street
This project is funded through the City’s capital improvements fund for sidewalks and pedestrian paths at a cost of approximately $130,000.
We remind citizens to obey all traffic and pedestrian control devices and to use caution while traveling through these areas.
