Rochelle’s Old Fashioned Christmas Walk events will again include the popular Bed Races! This year’s Bed Race is scheduled for Friday December 4th at 6:30pm in the 400 block of Lincoln Highway. Businesses, organizations, families and friends are invited to form five-person teams (four pushers and one rider) to enter the Bed Race.
Teams provide their own beds with four wheels to race. Bill Patrick () is willing to provide beds for teams to participate. Teams are encouraged to dress for the occasion with nightshirts, caps, pajamas or other Christmas outfits! A $50 prize will be awarded to the best-dressed team and another $50 prize will be awarded to the team with the fastest time!
Onlookers will vote for the best dressed team. Anyone is welcome to enter and we welcome entries from surrounding communities as well. There is a $10 fee to enter.
