City Engineer, Sam Tesreau, has announced the closure of the Flagg Rochelle Park District bikepath, along the east side of 20th Street from Carrie Avenue to Squires Landing Avenue, to begin July 20th at 8am.
The closure is necessary to continue the widening of 20th Street, installation of storm sewer and drainage structures at the Carrie Ave intersection, installation of new curb and gutter and restoration of the southerly approach to the bikepath. The bikepath is expected to be reopened August 2nd, 2016.
Advance warning, detour and other temporary traffic control devices will be posted near the affected area. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured along Clifton Terrace. Please use caution while traveling in this area and pay special attention to the advanced warning signage, road closed signage and other temporary traffic control devices within or in advance of the work zone.
