Christmas Tree Fest Raises $2300 for Homeless Shelter

The City of Rochelle’s Seventh Annual Christmas Tree Festival was an overwhelming success. Thirty-three decorated tabletop trees, wreaths, centerpieces and holiday gift baskets were displayed in City Hall with the bidding culminating at 6:30p.m. on Friday, December 7th during the Downtown Christmas Walk Festivities. Visitors to the festival were delighted with the variety of trees available for viewing. The trees, donated by local business, community and service groups, were purchased through a silent auction to benefit the Homeless Shelter. Auction proceeds were $2300.
