City staff, with the assistance of Fehr-Graham & Associates, have completed a significant review of Chapter 86 (Subdivisions) of the Rochelle Municipal Code and have proposed modifications to the requirements.
The existing subdivision chapter has been developed over a period of many years and contains inconsistencies and ambiguities which are at times difficult to administer. The proposed modifications have been developed to insure that the City’s regulations are clear, concise, comply with current planning standards and provide direction for future growth.
Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the proposed modifications several months ago and voted to recommend approval to the City Council. The modifications will be available online at www.cityofrochelle.net for approximately 30 days, prior to council action, to allow for public comment.
