The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to the City of Rochelle by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
City of Rochelle Finance Director Chris Frye has received the Award of Financial Reporting Achievement as the individual designated by the government as holding the primary responsibility of preparing the award-winning Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
“A Comprehensive Annual Financial Report provides a higher level of reporting than an audit report with more financial detail covering not only the current year, but the previous 10 years and provides valuable insights on how the City manages its finances. The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report contains information about the local economy, the structure of the City government, the City’s future financial plans and financial policies, as well as significant projects,” said Chris Frye, City of Rochelle Finance Director.
