Electronics Recycling Event – April 2

Electronics Recycling Event – April 2

Did you know that over 2 million tons of electronics are discarded each year? Keeping these items out of landfills is essential – as most of them contain hazardous or toxic materials.

An Electronics Recycling Event will be held at Rochelle Township High School located at 1401 Flagg Road in Rochelle on Saturday April 2 from 8:00AM to 3:00PM.

Lee and Ogle County residents are invited to clear your home of outdated and broken computers and other electronics such as: printers, phones, fax machines, and cellular phones. Other small appliances such as: microwave ovens, hair dryers, power tools, TVs, and VCRs are also accepted at this event. For a complete list of acceptable items, please visit www.cityofrochelle.net or call one of the sponsoring organizations. Electronics recycling is limited to a maximum of ten items per vehicle.

This event is a collaboration of efforts by the City of Rochelle, Ryder Systems, Inc. (formerly TLC), Sara Lee Corporation, and both Lee and Ogle Counties. Items dropped off at the event are recycled by SIMS Recycling Solutions.
