The 19th State of the Community Dinner is an event that features dinner and an outstanding education program for all Rochelle area citizens and leaders.  This year’s dinner will be held on Thursday, March 21 at Abraham’s.  The event features an open bar at 6:00 p.m., dinner 6:30 and program beginning at 7:30.  The program features the value of Economic Development in the Rochelle Area. The cost of this event will be $29.00 per person.

The theme for this year’s event is “Economic Development – Partners for our Future”.   Our speakers include Michelle     Pease, city planning, Adriana Milan, economic development, Fallan Lowe, Bright Farms, and Dan Lundquist, Americold.  They will cover achievements,  opportunities and challenges facing the city and business.   This event is sponsored by the League of Women Voters and  the Rochelle Area Chamber of Commerce.  The program is part of their efforts to provide educational programs and information for the public and is not a fundraising event for either organization.

Make your reservations by contacting the Rochelle Area Chamber office at 562-4189.  For more information about the event, contact Diane McNeilly, League of Women Voters at 562-5769.   Citizens, leaders, and companies are encouraged to enjoy a fine social event and to learn more about economic development aspects of the City of Rochelle with our local businesses and industrial partners.  The League and Chamber hope that this program provides participants with new ideas on ways to support these local businesses/industries. Working together, public and governmental bodies can make the Rochelle Area a more prosperous and healthy community for all.
