Rochelle’s Emergency Management Committee is sponsoring a full-scale disaster exercise on October 19, 2019. This exercise will provide participants with an opportunity to assess capabilities, plans, policies, and procedures. It will focus on decision-making, coordination, and integration with other organizations during a simulated active shooter incident at Rochelle Township High School. The expected outcome of the exercise is greater understanding of responders’ capabilities, identification of areas of proficiency as well as those in need of improvement and strengthening of interagency coordination.
Scenario
The scenario for this exercise will be a simulated attack upon the occupants of RTHS during the course of a simulated school day.
