Hay Day: Family Fall Festival October 15th

Hay Day: Family Fall Festival October 15th

We’re having a Hay Day downtown Rochelle on Saturday October 15th! Our newest event runs from 10am to 6pm on Lincoln Highway and throughout the Downtown.

The family-friendly, fall event features a petting zoo, giant inflatables, and more! Kids will have the opportunity to touch-a-truck with police, fire and utility vehicles on display. Children are welcome to come in costume and may even find a treat! The Flagg Rochelle Library will host pumpkin decorating.

We’ll have plenty of good food available with the Rochelle Fire Department serving their festival-famous pork chop sandwiches and the Masonic Temple grilling brats.

Musical entertainment will be provided by singer/songwriter and American Idol contestant Tristan Bushman, followed by bluegrass band The Templetons – a family of ten playing old time favorites.

Local artist, Fran Volz has created a 20 foot replica of the Statue of Liberty with various types of hay & straw to be on display at the event. Businesses, organizations and crafty individuals are invited to join in the fun! Create a straw or hay sculpture of your own and enter the competition. For details, visit Fran Volz Studios website here.

We hope to see you there!
