Mayor Chet Olson is seeking volunteer members for appointment to the following Boards & Commissions:
Stormwater Advisory Commission (1 voting member – term ending 7/1/15): The Stormwater Advisory Commission consists of five members that serve 3-year terms and are appointed by the Mayor. The Commission acts as advisors to the Building Division and City Council with reference to the operation and control of stormwater management matters within the City. The four annual meetings are the second Wednesday of January, March, June, and September at 5:00 p.m.
Airport Advisory Board (2 voting members – terms ending 7/1/17): The Airport Advisory Board consists of seven members that serve three-year terms and are appointed by the Mayor. The Board serves in an advisory capacity to the Airport Director and the City Council on policies related to the Rochelle Municipal Airport including operational, financial, and expansion issues. Regular meetings are held the fourth Monday every other month at 3:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
To be eligible you must be a registered voter. Applications can be picked up at City Hall in the City Clerk’s office.
