In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, Rochelle’s Recycling & Conservation Committee will soon deliver a magnet to each household in the community that qualifies for curbside recycling. The magnet gives guidelines for curbside recycling in Rochelle.
Rochelle residents are invited to participate in our residential recycling program! Two recycling bins are provided to each qualifying residence free of charge. Contents can be mixed in each bin. Recyclables are picked up at the curb, bi-weekly, on the same day as solid refuse pickup. All recyclables must be rinsed free from all food debris. Lids may be loosely left on items. Labels may be left on all recyclables. Anyone who does not qualify for residential recycling is welcome to bring their recyclables to the container at the east end of the Big-R (formerly Wal-Mart) parking lot on North Route 251 for recycling.
