RMU is introducing a new Summer Saver Electric Rate for residential customers. Customers can save money by signing up for the Summer Saver Electric Rate and then reducing their electric usage between 2 pm and 7 pm Monday through Friday during the months of August and September.
The rate is risk-free. During August and September, RMU will bill the customer the lowest of their current rate or the new Summer Saver rate. The customer is in control of how much they want to save.
Customers can sign up on the RMU website at www.rmu.net or by calling the RMU Customer Service Department at 815-562-4155. Once a customer has signed up, they will be contacted by RMU for verification.
