City Engineer Sam Tesreau has announced that 20th Street, south of 10th Avenue, will be closed beginning Wednesday October 10th at 7:00AM to perform drainage improvements, culvert replacements, and other associated work in the area. It is expected that the street will re-open to traffic by 4:00PM on Friday October 12th. City Engineering and Street Department Staff, the contractor, and other utility companies are currently in the area doing staking and utility markings. The west access drive to Cooper Park will be open during the construction from 20th Street, by way of 8th Avenue. Residents and motorists are reminded to pay special attention to the advance warning signage, posted detour routes, road closed barricades, and other temporary traffic control devices in the work zone.
