The Rochelle Police Department is hosting the first local “Stuff the Squad” school supply to help Rochelle kids start the school year right!
The Rochelle Police Department and City of Rochelle staff wish to be part of a community initiative to help our local students and teachers be successful this year. The supplies will be distributed to those most in need through the Hub Project. While supplies are on sale at the beginning of the school year, now is the best time for the community to help the students and teachers stock up!
Anyone who wishes to donate supplies may visit Wal-Mart on Saturdays in August leading up to the first day of school – August 4, 11, and 18 from 9am-1pm to deliver supplies to the City staffers at the Police vehicle in front of the store. We will also collect donations during our National Night Out event on Tuesday August 7th from 5 to 8pm at Atwood Park. Most needed supplies include crayons, markers, scissors, dry-erase markers, glue notebooks and folders.
