Beginning the second week of April, 2012, the S. Main Street Bridge over the I-88 Tollway will be closed to through traffic for bridge resurfacing and reconditioning. The project will be completed by William Charles Construction, contracted by the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority, as part of the I-88 work from Ill. Rte. 251 west to Annie Glidden Road. The bridge is expected to re-open in approximately two months, in mid-June. Detour Routes will be marked in the area for local traffic.
