The City of Rochelle’s 12th Annual Christmas Tree Festival was an overwhelming success. Twenty decorated tabletop trees, wreaths, centerpieces and holiday gift baskets were displayed in City Hall with the bidding culminating at 6:30p.m. on Friday, December 1st during the Downtown Christmas Walk Festivities. Visitors to the festival were delighted with the variety of trees and baskets available for viewing. The trees, donated by local business, community and service groups, were purchased through a silent auction to benefit the Community Action Network’s Holiday Shopping Trip for local kids in need. Auction proceeds were $1629.
