The City of Rochelle, Illinois is Seeking a Qualified Business and Financial Analyst

This position is responsible for the major functions of:

• Energy procurement.
• Financial analysis of Rochelle Municipal Utilities business operation using a variety of statistical and analytical tools such as regression analysis, trend analysis, sales forecasting, discounted cash flows, Monte Carlo simulation analysis, and cost/benefit analysis.
• Strategic and operational planning.
• Performance measurement.
• Organizational and operational assessments.
• Process improvement.
• Employee and customer surveys.
• Special investigations and audits.

Requirements include:

1. Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
2. Extensive experience in finance and business or public administration.

 Preferences include:

1. Extensive (5+ years) of progressively responsible experience in Energy Procurement and Financial/Business Analysis functions on behalf of a utility.
2. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Organizational Development, or related field is preferred.
3. Experience in ISO 9000, Malcolm Baldrige, Six Sigma Black Belt, or internal auditing is desirable, but not required

This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary DOQ and a full City benefits package.
