Rochelle, IL – Exciting news for Railfans across the US! Union Pacific celebrates the 150th anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad with a cross-country summer tour for one of its original steam engines. Big Boy No. 4014 will make a stop at the Rochelle Railroad Park on Tuesday July 30th scheduled between 9:45 and 10:30am.
“The Big Boy’s return to the rails is the product of more than two years of meticulous restoration work by the Union Pacific Steam Team. No. 4014 is the world’s only operating Big Boy locomotive,” said UP Representatives.
